1. Articles (A, An, The)

Article Usage Example
A Before singular, countable nouns starting with a Consonant Sound.
Note: Sound matters, not spelling.
A boy, A car, A university (starts with 'Y' sound).
An Before singular, countable nouns starting with a Vowel Sound (a, e, i, o, u). An apple, An egg, An MRI (starts with 'Em' sound), An honest man ('h' is silent).
The Specific nouns, Holy books, Rivers, Superlatives. The Ganga, The Bible, The best student.

2. Quantifiers (Countable vs Uncountable)

Determiner Usage Example
Some Positive Sentences / Offers.
(Countable & Uncountable)
I have some water.
Would you like some coffee?
Any Negative Sentences and Questions. I don't have any money.
Do you have any pen?
Much Uncountable Nouns (Quantity). How much sugar do you need?
Many Countable Nouns (Number). How many friends do you have?

3. The Tricky Trio (Little vs Few)

Little = Uncountable (Water, Hope, Money)
Few = Countable (Boys, Days, Books)

Type Meaning Example
Little / Few Almost None (Negative meaning). He has little hope of recovery. (No hope)
A Little / A Few Some (Positive). I have a few friends. (Some friends)
The Little / The Few Not much, but all that is there (Specific). I spent the little money I had.
